Kitchen Garden

So much to do!

In the kitchen we’ve been making the sandwich that Max made, taken from the book of the same name by Marcia Vaughan. The older students harvested our own spaghetti squash and made “spaghetti” with a tomato/vegetable sauce. Then the younger class chopped up some fruit and we made a fruit compote, used for a delicious jam and bread snack.

In the garden we have been very busy preparing garden beds for autumn planting. Students are selecting the vegetables and herbs and we should be ready to plant over the next couple of weeks. The young students have planted some succulents which we will transfer to a bigger garden later.
