Kate Steele

Principal’s Welcome.

Welcome all to our Stratford Primary School Community!
My name is Kate Steele and I am proud to be principal of this wonderful school.

With over 20 years of experience as an educator, I am committed to providing the best educational and wellbeing outcomes for our whole school community.

Small schools are the beating heart of rural communities.

As an educator I have a sentimental attachment to small schools. My grandmother spent her teaching career in a one teacher school. I attended a small school in my primary years, my children now attend small schools, and for the bulk of my teaching career, I have been part of a small school community.

I have a deeply seated understanding of the invaluable role a small school plays in the community. I believe it is essential for the principal of a small school to foster positive relationships with the whole community, to value the traditions and history, to be present, approachable, and active not only within the school, but in the local community.

At Stratford Primary School, we believe in building strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community. Together, we create a supportive network that encourages open communication and fosters a sense of belonging. We are always available to listen, address concerns, and collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure the success and well-being of our students.

I extend a warm invitation to all to come and visit our beautiful school. To sum up what makes our school great - SMALL SCHOOL, BIG OPPORTUNITIES!

Come along and see what we have to offer.

Warmest regards,
Kate Steele
STRATFORD PRIMARY SCHOOL PRINCIPAL.
