Lawn Bowls

The grade 5/6 students at Stratford Primary School have spent the last 3 weeks relearning and learning how to play bowls at the Stratford Bowls Club. It has been wonderful seeing the kids step out of their comfort zones, trying a new or unfamiliar sport. The students are enjoying being out in the sun with some friendly competition. Learning the game rules and using math skills, such as length, force, estimation, and addition, to get as close to the kitty as possible. We are hoping to influence the current grade 5 students to band together and create a team to join the school bowls competition in 2025.
