Responsible pet ownership

On Tuesday morning the Responsible Pet Ownership Program came to Stratford Primary School. Students in F, one and two were introduced to Vixen the dog. Students were taught pet safety and shown the correct way to approach Vixen. The program focused on teaching students about dog safety, when dogs should be left alone, things we should not do to dogs, how to tell if a dog is happy, frightened or angry, a safe way to approach and greet a dog and what to do if approached by an unknown or aggressive dog.
